Quartz test tube
Naturally occurring crystalline (sand) is crushed into powder and passes through numerous purifying processes. The resulting pure powder is fused by either of two different processes to manufacture clear fused quartz ingots.
The fused quartz test tubes are mainly used for heating purpose in chemicals, semi-conductor industry etc. The fused quartz test tubes look transparent after anneal and the working temperature can reach 1200 Deg-C. They can even quench in water when heating to 1200 Deg-C.
