Short Wave Quartz Halogen Emitters of series YS have a rather defined infrared spectrum. This allows a very efficient tuning to the body to be heated. Shortest response times and highest end temperatures (2600°C / 4712°F) make them the ideal infrared heating element for short cycle processes and applications which require a high power density. Optionally the emitter can be operated vertically if the coil is supported accordingly.

Spiral heating wire in a tight coil placed inside a quartz tube which act as a support and external insulation with end cap made of silicon rubber.

The nominal temperature on the surface of heater is ≥ 250oC whereas peak temperature on surface of glass tube centre is 600oC.

These lamps are not only the fastest in transmitting heat but are most suitable for specific applications involving vacuum technology and dust free (clean room) conditions.

Advantage
  • Heating is done by radiation, this eliminates loss of energy used for heating media and heat loss due to convection.
  • Here the infrared waves penetrate the material, on which it falls and delivers the heat directly to that material.
